  • “I participated in Meredith Terranova’s Complete Nutrition Program over 12 weeks during the fall of 2006.  I wanted to improve my own nutrition as I trained for my first marathon, as well as the nutrition of my family, including my 10-year old son and 5-year old daughter.   

    I considered myself fairly knowledgeable about nutrition, and thought I looked at nutrition labels and made decent decisions at the grocery store.  After all, I was buying whole wheat bread.  I always checked the label for trans fats.  I was amazed, then, when Meredith gave me a grocery store tour and showed me so many little ways I could make improvements without any of us feeling deprived.  For example, Meredith showed me how to use labels to find healthier choices in peanut butter, jelly, and frozen waffles—important staples in our household!  She helped me find alternative snacks and healthier breads, pastas and sauces that actually tasted good.  I was a bit apprehensive about how some of the changes would be received by my kids, but was surprised to find that most of the time, they either didn’t notice the change or even liked the new foods better!  

    I lost 10 pounds during the program, and other members of my family lost weight, too, from the cumulative effect of all those little changes.  The changes don’t feel like a “diet”; they are changes that can be adopted for life.”

  • "I signed up for Meredith's 6 week tune-up program because I was confused.  I had slowly but steadily gained weight in the 4 years since I started training for endurance events like triathlons and marathons.  At first I told myself it was muscle, but you can't just keep gaining muscle.  I also wanted to know how to eat right for the best athletic performance.  I'm a middle or back of the packer, so I'm not looking to win prizes.  I just want to feel my best while doing my best.

    Meredith first evaluated my eating habits and said it would be easy to make some changes and drop those pounds.  The changes she recommended at their heart were common sense - eat less fat and more whole grains, fruits and vegetables.

    Within two weeks of following my new nutrition plan, the pounds were coming off.  I was eating bigger breakfasts and bigger snacks than ever before.  My lunches and dinners were reasonably sized.  I learned that I could eat a huge quantity of healthy foods, and salad bars became my friend, with fat free dressings, of course.  I added fruits and vegetables to every meal or snack.  And the pounds kept coming off.  As I saw the results, it became easier to follow the plan.  I didn't even want to go back to my old ways.

    6 months after I first met with Meredith, my weight is back to what it was in high school and I'm easily maintaining it.  Once you see how easy it is, there's no going back!"
